THE MONOCHROME STREETS OF SYDNEY ON FILM AND DIGITAL

I had the pleasure of returning to Sydney recently with Leanne from Leanne J Photography to attend the recent World Press Photo Exhibition. Whilst there we spent an afternoon walking the streets of the city, firing off shots with our respective cameras – me shooting a Nikon F5 with a Sigma 35mm f1.4 lens, and a roll of Ilford HP5, and Leanne using her trusty Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 HSM Art lens.
One of the best aspects of shooting together is comparing later what we “saw” and captured. The same streets, but two different views of the city. Here we’ll present ten shots each from the day.
Up first, the film shots by yours truly. Nikon F5, 35mm f1.4 lens, Ilford HP5 Plus.

Next up, Leanne with Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless, 50mm f1.4 lens.
